Place the crisper plate into the COSORI Air Fryer basket.
Select the Bake function, adjust temperature to 185°C and time to 6 minutes, then press Start/Pause to preheat.
Combine the brown sugar, oats, hazelnuts, walnuts, flour, vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest, salt, and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Cut the tops off of the apples, about 6-millimetres down from the stem. Set the tops aside. Using a spoon or a paring knife, scoop out the cores from the apples. Leaving a 6-millimetre wall inside the apples, continue scooping out the flesh until there is an approximately 85-gram void in the center.
Place the apples onto the preheated crisper plate.
Remove the apples when done and fill each apple to the top with the filling. Do not pack the filling—just layer it loosely into the apple center.
Place the filled apples onto the crisper plate.
Set temperature to 185°C and time to 7 minutes, then press Start/Pause.
Remove the apples when done, then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
